Contingent on quantity and quality of submissions, the SCSP awards three cash prizes at its annual conference, recognizing excellence by a non-tenured faculty member (affiliated with a SC-based institution), a graduate student (since 2022, from any institution), and an undergraduate (affiliated with a SC-based institution).
